I have an ms access table with some 400 records. Ms access aborts when I open
this table in datasheet mode. Opening the table woth a form works fine albeit
slow.

The same database and table perform fine on the laptop of a fellow worker.
Another fellow worker has the same problem I have.

Even when I create a new database with a new table performance is abismal.
When I open the empty table in datasheet mode to enter data, either ms access
aborts or I can enter data only very slowly, with rows appearing after one or
two seconds.

I use WXP with MS access 2000. I have deinstalled MS office 2000 and
installed MS offcie 2003 to no avail, so I went back to ms access 2000, which
is what the customer has. The custmoer has a WXP server where the application
performs slow (9-20 secs).

My msjet40.dll has version 4.0.8618.0, which is also what a fellow worker
has where ms access 2003 performs fine.

be greatly appreciated.
