MS Access Packaging Wizard .. Set-up install error
After creating set-up and runtime CD. Trying to run the Set-up CD on a
target pc. Error: "Office Service Pack cannot be installed on this system
because it requires NT 4.0 Service Pack 6.0 or later. "
I checked to include the "System Files" in the Packaging Wizard.
My Development System: 4 yr. old, MS Windows XP Pro. V2002 SP2
....OFFICE XP Developer
Target System: 3 month old, MS Windows XP Media Center Edition V2002 SP2
.....No OFFICE components... just MS Works
Can someone tell me where to get what it wants? Also the target system has
no web access. Is there a file I can get off my Dev. pc? ...And... If I
get this figured out will this type error come up on other installs... I
thought the run-time with "system files" included was supposed to faclitate
the app. running on most any pc. Maybe it will run.. just won't install?
Thank you. tp
Hi,
try to look at this KB article:
You may receive error messages when you install an Access 2002 runtime
deployment package on a computer that is running Windows XP SP2 or Windows
Server 2003

This issue has reappeared in Windows Vista. Has Microsoft come up with a fix
for this yet?

Done that without any luck. I guess more files needs removing from the list,

Hi Morten,
I don't have Ospfilelist.txt file around, just some idea. I would try to
locate other listed files, which setup checks, and remove one by one. or
perhaps you can try to remove all files, which are listed to be checked on
destination PC.
