Hi all,

Does someone know of an easy way to have a command button
copying a database to a floppy disk?

Thanks.

Did you see MVP Doug Steele's response to your previous message
on the same subject???

Here it is again:

FileCopy "C:\SomeFolder\SomeFile.mdb", "A:\SomeFile.mdb"

You can't use this to copy the current database, though (nor any other file
that's in use). However, that shouldn't be viewed as a limitation of the
method: you should never copy an open database, as it's likely to end up in
an inconsistent state. (Yes, I know there are methods that will allow you to
copy an open file, but just because you can doesn't mean you should...)

Whether you'd find many databases that would actually fit on a floppy is
another question though!

This command line will copy your MDB even if you currently working with it

res = shell("xcopy c:\MDBNAME.mdb A:\")
