Hi:

I am having some problems with appending from 1 table to another. My main
problems are always with the date/time. Some of my problems are with the
actual data in the field versus what is displayed. Here are a few examples:

1. Date: How do I just get the long date out of this? I do not need the
+0100, which probably has to do with GMT?
Sat, 26 Mar 2005 20:35:21 +0100

2. Date: Using the above example, how do I add (in this case because it is
+0100) the time to 20:35:21?

3. Date: The field shows "3/28/05" but when I click the field it actual
displays or contains 3/28/2005 3:48:27 PM

4. Date: How do I manipulate the time zones, like 11:35:16 Mar 26, 2005
PST?

Hi,
1. you have to write own function which read such date and convert it to
serial date in UTC for example (or whatever time zone you like)
2. to add - you can use dateadd() function. but first - #1
3. here you have to set correct format of a field, displaying date
4. same like #1. Try to google for such function, probably somebody wrote it
already
