Suzanna,
microsoft.public.access.modulescoding is not in the list of available MSnews
groups (I reset my list twice). Is this a new group? If so, when will it be
available? If not, any idea on why I cannot find it?
Thanks,

Why on earth would you close a newsgroup that gets hundreds of posts a
day?

Because at least two newsgroups -- m.p.a.modulesdaovba and
m.p.a.modulesdaovba.ado -- are being consolidated into one. But it
appears that the new newsgroup hasn't been created yet.

"Closing" it will only remove it from news.microsoft.com and the
Microsoft website. Other NNTP servers around the internet will continue
to accept messages and replicate the group among themselves until the
individual server's administrator removes it from that server's list of
groups. This ghostly existence can continue for years.
