Can anyone recommend something that I can use to clean the screen on my
laptop?

DON'T use glass cleaner!! You can buy chemicals just for monitors and LCDs
at most computer stores. A lighly damp cloth (water) will also do the trick
if you do it often.
Windex and similar wear off a film that covers the screen over time and will
pretty much destroy your display.

A colleague of mine gave me a miniature stuffed animal (a dog) as a present.
I've been using it to wipe my screen once in a while.

LOL, very nice, John. I'll use this when my stuffed dog needs a break.

Dear John:
Thanks so much for that. Just the thing I need to cheer up an
over-homeworked, stressed kid! Wonderful!

At work, we use "Free of Charge" mfg by rubachem
http://www.rubachem.com/site/index.html. Since they are free of charge, I
sometimes bring a couple home from work to use on my personal laptop ;-)
