I'm going to start working with access and I want to know if  I need to start
with a switchboard first  before  Table ,Queries, Report, Form and all the
other stuff.

I want the switchboard  to be CONNECTED to  what ever the Table is about.

Where is the best place to get the information on that.

Thank you.

Hi:

You could start with Switchboard first or later as well I think. In general
get some forms and reports ready and when you are ready to setup the UI to
access them start the switchboard Add on. You can always go back to the add
on and edit the switchboard links.

Generally, you create the Switchboard after you have created the
functionalities you want for the users, i.e. Forms and Reports so that you
can add items to the Switchboard.

Most reasonable Access books conver the Switchboard pretty well.

Did you get an answer to your question?  You should learn about tables,
forms, queries, and reports before you should worry about building a
switchboard.  The switchboard gives a non-technical user a way to use Access
without having to know the program.

The Exploring Series by Prentice Hall publishes an excellent book: Microsoft
Access 2003 by Robert T Grauer and Maryann Barber.  This book has really help
me.
