pc in use been locked. forgot password

my daughter set my pc up as i am a novice.now it says computer in use been
locked. in users name it says owner. in the square it says password. my
daughter has forgotten the password. so now i am locked out and dont know
what to do. PLEASE HELP

You'll probably stand a better chance of getting an answer if you post to a
newsgroup related to whatever operating system is involved. This newsgroup
is for questions about Access, the database product that's part of Office

Switch off the computer it will no longer be locked

But if there IS a password, then when it's rebooted the OP will need it?!
And the daughter has forgotton it, so THAT won't work, will it?
