I WORKING  ON A 16KB DATA FILE AND HAD THE"FORM VIEW" FILE OPEN. FROM THE
TOOL BAR,I SELECTED "RECORDS" THEN AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS  DROP DOWN BOX, I
CLICKED "DATA ENTRY".
I AM NOW UNABLE, TO DISPLAY IN  THE DATA  IN MY FILE. EXCEL WILL OPEN THE
DATA  BASE. I CAN  PREVIEW THE DATA,BY USING   SWITCHBOARD AND CLICKING
"PREVIEW LAST NAME" OR CLICKING "PREVIEW FACTS". HOW DO I RESTORE THIS
DATABASE   FILE AS BEFORE  CLICKING :"DATA ENTRY"

TURN OFF CAPS LOCK - we are not in first grade here.

It makes your post almost impossible to read.

Just close your form and reopen it.  It should open not in data entry mode.

If it continues to open in data entry mode, then go into design view and
open the property box for the form.  Turn off the "data entry" property and
save your form.
