I received Mircrosoft student and teacher edition of office on my new laptop
with microsoft works. When i tried to open office it said that it was a trial
version and that i needed to update it with a 25 letter code. Something like
thats anyway. I am wondering if it is going to have to be paid for by me. I
don't want to buy this  version  because i all ready have office that i can
install on the laptop. Thank you Everybody

If the company you purchased the new laptop from included Office in the
purchase price, then you have already paid for it. You should have CDs in
the shipment that contain the CD Key that you will need to enter to activate
Office.
