I am new to access and have created my first database mostly by wizzard.
(Don't laugh) I have a form i would like a control to be set to perform a
calculation and place that calculation in a field on a subform. Please help.
I have created the query and the calculated field works great but I can't
get it on my form.

Since you are new I will point out that values that can be calculated are not
normally stored, they are just calculated wherever they are needed on-the-fly
though there are some exceptions to this rule. If the reason you want to copy
the vlaue into the subform is so it can be saved to a table then this might be a
bad idea.
Provide more details about the data and the calculation.
You can certainly display the result of your query in a control by using
DLookup().
=Dlookup("NameOfField", "NameOfQuery", "optional criteria")
