I have a number of small to medium sized projects running on servers that
only have 2000 installed.

With 2002 I could setup and design for 2000. Is 2003 the same?

TIA

Yes. Both 2002 and 2003 default to A2000 format databases, and work
just fine with them. The only "gotcha" is that you must convert your
database to 2003 format in order to create a .mde file.

In other words, John,

If I have Access 2003 on my machine, I cannot create an MDE file for my
client who has Access 2002 on his machine?

Correct?

Unfortunately, yes, so far as I've been able to determine.
