while in category view I deleted a category not thinking that I had contacts
associated. there was no "are you sure prompt" which helps newbies like me.
Now I cannot recover the lost contacts. Is there a way to retrieve the info.
Info is not in deleted items.
thank you

This is an MS Access (database) group.  Sounds like you want some help with
Outlook.  Categories are groups of contacts,; deleting a category does not
delete the individual contact records. Click "View" -"Current View" and
select "Address Cards" to see your contacts.

Category?  We can't see your database.  We don't know what you mean by
"category".  An access database could be anything.  We would need to know
how your datbase is structured before we could help.

If you delete a category (assuming this is an option stored in a table) it
should not delete contacts stored in another table unless you have cascade
delete turned on.

This question is too vague for a newsgroup.  Give us details.
