Burning Database on CD saves as Read Only

I've created a database for a volunteer organization.  I'm finally about
ready to turn it over to the person who will maintain the data going forward.
Whenever I try to burn the file on a CD (using Roxio Easy CD Creator 5), it
saves the file as Read Only (which is not what I want)?  How do I save an
updateable file?

Thanks.

Any files written to a CD will be read only. They will need to copy them to
their hard drive and change the file attributes there.
