I have a membership database, maintained by others, which some times includes duplicated email addresses for reasons that do not concern me. I need to extract the email addresses to send broadcast emails to our members. I have a routine which extracts the primary email address from the database, and then appends the secondary email address to make an email address list table. This is achieved by using queries. The routine takes the email address from the member database appends the alternative address from the member database to make a table that is both addresses combined. Now I need to be left with unique addresses in the easiest way. Since I don't have any idea how the query is structured or what it contains, it's a bit difficult to give advice! Is its Unique property set? Does it contain fields other than the email address? If you have two email addresses for the same person, how can you determine which one to use? John W. Vinson[MVP] I am using three queries. First to delete the existing records from the table. The second to append primary email addresses. The third to append secondary email addresses. The database has only one field. I have set the property to " No duplicates " which seems to achieve the object. Is this an acceptable answer? Duplication of addresses occurs for a variety of reasons which are beyond my control.
