Anyone know of a good cheap time clock type program or how to make one using
Access or other Office product?

I did a quick search and found this site with a possible download for you:
http://www.dirfile.com/freeware/timesheets.htm

Then download "Timesheets Lite" (there are others there too, all freeware)

It uses some sort of compiled frontend with an Access database so I thought
it might be appropriate.

If you were a computer wouldn't you want to be as user friendly as possible?
