Open a new blank database. Once opened, the options should be available.

You shouldn't have to remove one, unless you installed in different
directories or drives. In that case, I'd format the drive and start over
installing more carefully.

Arvin, i was trying to get the access options to work, So i installed vista
again but there was still the problem with the access options being greyed
out, also the blank database being disabeld.
So i installed vista again this time a diffrent way and on the 2nd vista
nothing is working.
Can i undo the blank database so that it is enabled.
Thank you very much for your help.

Did you format the drive? Just reinstalling the operating system and Office
does not necessarily clear the junk out of the registry.
