I have started designing a Data Base for recording Finances.  The Data Base
consists of 2 individual components, which are very similar but have 2
seperate bank accounts for Reconciliation and require a combined return for
the Business activity statement.  Can any one advise me if I can incorporate
this in one data base or am I better off having 2 seperate data Bases?

That would depend almost entirely on the level of similarity.
