I am new to Access.  I have Access 2007 and have downloaded the "Students"
template and have modified most of it to fit my needs.  I have a form with
many pages(demographic, guardian info, contact log, etc..) on it and one of
the pages is utilization.  I need this page to calculate and track the
following information for each student:

Beginning Units of service
Remaining Units (Beginning units - units provided = remaining units)
Provider Name
Date of Service
Units of service provided

I have created 2 seperate tables
1. containing each student and their beginning units of service
2. one table containing the date, provider, and units provided

I need help setting up the utilization page - how do I get the calculations
to work and only show the hours specific to that student and not total all
the hours provided for everyone? There will be many days and hours of
services provided for each student.

Any asisstance would be greatly appreciated.  Please let me know if more
specific information is needed.

If you build a form/subform(s) where the form is based on your student table
and the subform(s) are based on table(s) containing attributes about
students, when you go to a specific student in the main form, the attributes
you enter in the subform(s) will be just for that student.
