Please remember:

You can see your computer. We cannot.

I have NO trace of an idea what program you're running, what an "index
number" is, what you expect F9 to do, or what did not work.

Please post a question with enough background and context that someone
other than yourself, who cannot see your monitor and who has not been
working with you, might have a chance to answer.
