I need to create a new data base and have no problem with the database
objects, forms, reports etc.  Where I fall flat is on the programming behind
the scenes part.  Is there a model database out there that has a way to
control which records a person has access to?

I do well when I have a working model to work from.

Hi Mike

Access comes with a sample database called Northwind (which is geared
towards certain applications but is still a good source for ideas) if you
don't have this go to the main MS site and search on templates then Office
then Access and you will find a few DB's that can allbe altered to various
applications,

Hope this helps
