Good Morning Everyone,

I'm making a database and I'm playing with it using test data. When
I want to put the actual data in, how do I reset the autonumber back to
1? How do I tell the database to completely delete the fake records so
the autonumber doesn't start at, o, 50?

Thanks!
Jillian

It wasn't until I reposted it the fourth time that I thought doing so
was a bad idea!
I didn't think it would be that annoying since they were different
newsgroups, but at least I know now. Thanks to everyone who helped me!

Also, thanks for that suggestion.

No big deal at all Jilian...
As Fred says, if you put both group names in the Newsgroup line, then any posts in
response (in either group) show up in both.
Then, folks helping out, can see the full sequence of the problem and responses.
Good luck with your Access,
Al Camp

Answered elsewhere.
Please do not multi-post. If you feel you must post the same question
to more than one newsgroup (and it's seldom necessary), cross-post by
adding each additional newsgroup in the To Newsgroups: box, separated
by a comma.
This way an answer in one newsgroup will be seen in each of the
others. More readers will see the response and learn, and less time
will be spent on duplicate answers.

See Netiquette at http://www.mvps.org/access

It's a great site to visit anyway.
