I'm trying to create a new report in Design View. I want to assign a command
buttom for the report. When  I place the command button on the form, and the
wizard does not start up to assign a command to it.
i've gone through all the online help. Try to install the Jet 4.0 update,
run the install and it's telling me it's already install on my system.

In form design view look at the control Toolbox bar.  The very first button has
an icon of a magic wand.  That is a toggle that turns the control wizards on and
off.

I've tried that, and the wizard still won't come up.

Okie Dokie. Try these (I'd start with number three):

1. Take a look at this KB article (they apply to 2003 as well):

Wizards do not start when you try to start any of the Access 2000 wizards:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q242218/

2. And maybe this one as well:
ACC2000: Error Message When Running Access Wizards
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=303769

3. You can also try registering DAO360.dll.
From Start --> Run you would type the following:
regsvr32  "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao360.dll"

Note: You may need to change the path to DAO360 if this is different on your machine.

Hope that helps,

Jeff

Thanks; I've tried everything you've suggested and I still can't get the
command button wizard to work. I've gone as far as deleting MS Access 2003
from my system, shut it down, start it back up, reinstall it. Start everything
over you suggested and the wizard still won't open up when I start a new
command button.
