Need to find a factor in a table. Example: Find the distance between towns
like in a road map book.

Both VLookup and HLookup are functions from Excel. This newsgroup is for
questions about Access, the database product that's part of Office
Professional.

If you're using Excel, you'd be best off reposting this question in a
newsgroup related to Excel.

If you're using Access, there are no VLookup nor HLookup functions. The
DLookup function might fulfill your need, but you'll need to explain how
your tables are organized before any of us will be able to help you.

Those functions are Excel functions.
You appear to have posted this message to the wrong newsgroup.
The access in this groups name refers to Microsoft Access, a database
program.
Please repost to the correct newsgroup for Excel. I would suggest you
include your Windows and Office version number in the message.
