i am taking a sample exam, and i need help please...
i have to use codes for 2 fields to replace shorthand text with its proper
term.. for example, i need to type in 'sf' and i every time i type this in, i
need access to automatically replace that with sales faculty

Your exam is to test your knowledge, not ours.  There is an
expectation that applying yourself to the materials you've been given
in a timely manner you'll be able to solve the problem.  I hope you
can and do.

i appreciate your response, but i am actually taking several sample exams and
these are to identify where my problems are and for me to make ammendements,
this is not a proper exam, it is to help me learn wher i need help, so if you
could help me out, i would appreciate that very much

You need a lookup table with two fields populated with the short and long
hand text respectively.  You could then use, for example, the DLookup
function to "translate" the shorthand.  Post back if you need more info.
