Some of my access 2003 files will not open every time I double click them?
No error message or anything. The hourglass sits for about 20 seconds and
then the screen just shows the main access form but with no dialog box
(asking about vireuses do you want to open etc.)

What is up with this. Is it an access problem or memory. I have 500MB.

Thanks

AK,
Are you using diffrent version of Access on the same machine?  If so, when you switch
from one version to another, Access has to re-register, and that sometimes can takes a few
seconds.
Try holding the Shift key while starting your app.  If It opens "normally", you may
have some AutoExec code that's causing a problem on open... or some code in the default
form that opens first.
Also try not defining any default form, and see if Access comes up quickly to the
database screen.
