If I set up a field in a table/form to automatically put the current date in
the field, does that field continuously change even after you're done with
the field?

The form will be used to generate reports that need the current date printed
on them, but I also want to keep the form as an archive so I need the date
the form was filled out to stay the same.

If the date field in the form is bound to a field in the table AND you are
doing nothing to mess with it, it should no change.

The best way to do this is to have a date/time field in the table. In the
default value of the field put the following:

=Date()

This will insert the computer's date for NEW records. It will not change
unless someone changes it either manually or though some code.
