Import problem - Date field

I'm fairly new to Access. Have a spreadsheet I am trying to copy / import
that has a date field. This date field is in a Month-Year format, i.e.
Apr-06. I have entered the data in Excel as 4/1/06. I have months that go
back to 2003. However, after importing, all of the months show as 2006.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

If you click on Advanced in the import wizard, what is the data type for the
column that your having problems with. Try changing it to DATE if its not
already selected, or opt for TEXT, import and check if the data has come in
ok and then change the data type back to DATE once it's imported.
