summing on a form

Hi
I have a Continuous  form that contains data on a product and quanties
sold
what i am trying to do is creat a running total
i have summed the quantity sold i now need to sum the value of the
sales
this can be done   by a button or any other means
i have tried Dsum  --- this totals once and stops

can anyone help please
