Anybody ever set up a library catalog in Access?

I have been given the assignment at my office to create a library for various
articles, mostly in .pdf format.  Storage is not the problem, but I would
like to create a database that would allow me (or perhaps others) to search
through the library by author, title, subject and possibly date.  Anybody
ever come up with one?  Thanks.
