I have a "value list" value that can be null, accept or reject but I can't
get it to show up as anything more than a black box on a report... any ideas?

Don't use a list box on a report.  Make it a text field.

Rick, thanks, I just used the "wizard" to get this report and it took the
list box from a query and left it a list box, I just clicked the text box
button, threw it on the report, pointed to the right place and BAM, there's
what I wanted, Thanks again, Joe
