Thanks for taking the time to read my question.

I have been using Access97 until now. I now have Access2003.

When I start Access2003 I can go to Options - Advanced and choose either the
2000, or 2002-2003 file format.

Q1. Is 2002-2003 the latest format or is there a single 2003 format?

In Access97 I have addins like Linked Table Manager. In my 2003 version I
have no addins.

Q2. Do I need addins? and if so, where do I get them from?
Do I need a Linked Table Manager addin?

Before using this version, I just want to be sure I have it set up correctly.

2002-2003 is the latest format as access retains backwards compatibility for
these versions.

You should run the office setup, and find the access addins and check them
for install.

Linked table manager is used if you link external tables in your DB. If all
your tables are local you don't need it.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the reply.

I tried installing the addins yesterday. Not sure how to do that. I have
my Office CD out and I went to Add/Remove Programs, then went to MS Office
and tried to add the addins. I could not find them on the list.

How do I get them off the CD onto my computer?
