Hi to all.

This is a very simple one I'm sure.. but I'm stumped:     I have a giant
spreadsheet/form where my employees simply choose values from a seperate
database to print the form with their choices on it. It has maybe 200
comboboxes.

What I need to do is have this document print the chosen values within the
combobox, but NOT display the combobox iteslf (with the border and arrow
button). I want the combobox to be there to choose values when editing, but
simply print as if the value was manually typed in!

Thanks to anybody who can help me out   <3.

Firstly, this is the Micro$oft Access forums, not Excel.

However, I happen to have a little bit of experience with Excel too:

I believe you can right click the control, and select "Format Control".
Now, under the tab labeled "Properties" there is a check box that asks if
you wish to print the object, simply uncheck that.

In Access (just in case that is truly what you meant), there is a property
of the combobox called "Display When", simply change that to screen only.

Voila, both instances the control is usable and visible on screen, but wont
darken your print-outs with its presence.

Cheers

Well, yes I guess the name would suggest it's Access, now I feel alot
dumber than before. Sorry bout that. Anywho, I appreciate the advice John,
I of course exhausted that resource trying before posting on a forum, that
setting toggles the whole object's display, I want to see the text
selected, just not the border and arrow. That control hides the text along
with it.

Thanks for the help... if anybody else strolls along and may know what I
need to do post up I'd appreciate it!

Do you also wish to see the list, or simply the text the user has selected?

I just want 1 selection to show on each box and for that to be it. No other
options, borders, buttons. Thanks for helping : )
