I want to know if I have created/developed an access application in Access
2000 and 2003 what kind of runtime program that suitable for the pc that
running on win 98 to view my application.

Actually i want distribute the application to school and most of the school
running on Win 98 OS. I want to know what i should do in order to make sure
the application can be viewed successfully by the user of previous version of
windows and access program.

Really appreciate your guide.

Access 2000 (full or run-time only) will run under Windows 98.  Access 2003
will not.  You would need to first save the application in an earlier format
(thereby losing any Access 2003 features that you may have used).

You will need to purchase the Access 2000 developer tools in order to
distribute the Access 2000 run-time.  I don't imagine that you can get this
off-the-shelf anymore, eBay is indicated!  Or, you could contact Microsoft
to see if they can do some kind of downgrade deal.

If I were targetting Windows 98 systems, then, in the expectation that the
hardware is contemporary with the OS (i.e. old and slow) I would use Access
97, which is an immensely capable version that, in essence, has not changed
much in the later versions.  The above comments re Access 2000 apply equally
to Access 97.

To add to that you may have to ensure that the version of MDAC that was used
on development sys is also installed on the host sys.
