Until recently Lebans solution for disabling the mouse scroll wheel has worked perfectly. Lately some departments have done upgrades - new computers and peripherals. The OS and software remains the same. The mousehook.dll also remains in the proper directory. However, the mouse scroll now functions within Access where it once didn't. I finally discovered the cause. A second mouse driver has been loaded, a Levono Mouse Suite. Unloading this has resolved the problem. But... the Levono Mouse Suite is not going to be removed from the workstations. So, I'm stuck with the mouse scroll wheel problem once again. Is there a way to ensure the mouse scroll wheel can be disabled from multiple drivers - or to ensure it disables the Levono Mouse driver? If it matters, I've tried disabling the scroll on individual forms, then changed it to disable for all forms by loading on start up. Both methods work when the Levono Mouse driver is unloaded, but neither works when Levono is loaded. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Answers/posts based on Access 2000 I can't help in the short term, but there is good news for the longer term. Microsoft has changed the behavior of the mouse wheel in Access 2007. It now scrolls form in Datasheet and Continuous view only, i.e. scrolling the mouse in Form view does not change records. The problem is therefore solved without needing any 3rd party software. You may not be ready to jump to the new version yet, but at least you can offer that alterntive to your IT people. Thanks for posting the issue you tracked down. Access 2007 would be a perfect solution, but at this point it's not likely that a software upgrade will happen for a long while. The recent hardware upgrade took care of their 'budget'. After reviewing my Mouse Scroll Wheel postings, I thought that I better ask Mr. Lebans if you in fact did want an actual mouse? The mouse being used varies from workstation to workstation (most are using IBM optical 2-button and scroll wheel). It doesn't seem to matter what mouse is used, instead it's the Lenovo mouse suite driver now being used. This driver can be found at: http://www-307.ibm.com:80/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndoc id=MIGR-54227 While I've been trying to solve my problem, fortunately the IT folks have written a script to disable the Lenovo driver. This has solved the problem for now, however I've been asked to continue to pursue a solution in the event that they wish to reload the Lenovo driver. And so, Mr. Lebans, if you're still willing to look into this for me I would greatly appreciate your help.
