On a form, some buttons display the tooltip while others do not. My
descriptions are not very long; any ideas as to why and how to fix this?

Thanks.

Which version of Access?

Any commonality among the type of controls for which the tips DO display?
... or DON'T display?

More info, please...

Office 2003 on Windows XP.

The controls are all buttons on a form. Some display, some don't. No rhyme
or reason; no commonality - intermittent - hit and miss...

I've noticed the same thing, also with no clear reason.

I've wondered if it might be "pausing" while some internal Windows or
antivirus scan is taking place.  Invariably, if I wait or come back, it does
work.

Perhaps another newsgroup reader has found an explanation and/or a
solution...?
