Is there a way to highlight a field (by turning an inverse video or blinking
effect) .. I want to highlight a field depending on the value of in another
field.

Any help would be much appreciated.

That's what conditional formatting is designed to do.

Many thanks .. didn't know what to look up in the help feature had tried
special effects etc. with no result, & I obviously didn't know about
conditional formatting, am teaching myself Access as I go along .. this is
just what I want.
