hi,

i want to have one button which can be clicked to prevent deletion or
edition of a record.and , at the same time, have the ability to delete or
edit the same record by repressing the same button or another button. is this
possible.

You want to have a button to prevent the deletion of a record, and a button
that will delete it?   Huh?
