I'd just like to comment that Microsoft Access, or at least the VBA aspect of
it, is a steaming mountain of putrid pigshit. I've been using it for years
and I'll keep using it because it's what my employers insist on, but...

Whoever designed it didn't know how to debug code, didn't know when and
where a programmer might need to use events, and didn't even try to put any
sense whatsoever into the mish-mash of irrational behaviors that they melted
together and served hot as MSAccess VBA.

hmmm...sounds like someone doesn't know how to use their tools. I consider
myself fairly advanced programming Access and have found very few occasions
where I couldn't get something done. I think that smell is coming from your
mouth. ;o)

Hundreds of thousands (millions?) of people use Access without problems, so
it can be done. If you perhaps let us know some concrete problems you're
encountering (as opposed to just venting), we should be able to help you.

I have programmed Access for a few years now and have yet to come across a
requirement I could not accomplish. Not sure why Mek seems to be having
trouble....Like Doug suggested, post some issues here and maybe someone
could help sort it out. There are some very talented and bright people here
that are more than willing to assist.
