Hi all,

I have got the following data in a report which I have created (just to show
you clearly what my main report and data looks like)

In my next report, I would have to show, how many minutes was spent on Slag,
how many on basket, and how many delay and so on.

How would my query look like if I had to calculate it with the following
data?  My coloumn names from left to right :

RECEIVED , STATUSTEXT, SPEED, PLACE, DIRECTION.

Anyone know?  Thanks
R

Since it appears that you are doing everything in one minute intervals, you
could probably just get the count of the number of records that have Slag in
the StatusText field. You could put a textbox in the footer of the report
and use DCount to get the value. You could also use the ability of textboxes
in a report to do a running sum. Set the textbox's control source to

=IIf([StatusText]="Slag", 1, 0)

and set the running sum property of the textbox to over group or over all as
appropriate. You could have one of these textboxes for each value. Make the
box hidden if desired. In the report's footer, you would have a textbox that
refers to the above textbox so that the footer would display the final
total.

How do you determine the length of time for any one
operation?  Is it the speed field?  Is it the time from one
operation to the next closest operation in Received?
OR WHAT??
