Conditional Formatting does not work after SP3 installed

Hi

I have a form with a subform shown in Datasheet view on it.
In the subform I use conditional formatting to set different color
background for the fields if setan criteria are met.
It is working on my development computer there I do not have MS Access
Service Pack 3 installed (because it has a lot of bugs which effect
development environment).
The problem is that background color on this subform would not change even
if condition are met on my clients computers if they applied MS Access SP3 to
it.
I am quit sure that problem introduced with SP3 as I did testing. If
computer does not have SP3 installed then conditional formatting works fine
and background color changed if condition is met.

I am desperately looking for solution to this problem. I can not stop my
current or potential clients from applying MS Access SP3 to they computers.
Is where any known fix to this problem.

Hello,

What's the verison of Access? Is it Access 2003?

Based on my experience, these problems may occur if the desktop is set to
XP Themes, did you try from "XP Themes" to "Classic"?

If you create a new form/subform with conditional formatting, can you
reproduce the problem?

Hi Peter

1) I am using It is Access 2003.
2) Client computer set in "Classic"
3) I created new form from scratch and to my amusement it is working
but if I create new form and do copy and paste all control from problem
form in this new one it does not work.

Eventually (after 3.5 hours of testing) I found solution to this
problem. I removed conditional formatting from the fields and save my form
Then I reapplied conditional formatting to my form again and save it.
After that it is working ok

I created sample database file with two form one of them works and
another does not. If you would like to see this paradox I can send this
database file to you.

Thank you for your information. Never mind the spam issues since sometimes
it's not possible to avoid. :)

I tried to reproduce the issue on my side to no avail. First I tested on a
machine with Access 2003 SP2 installed, 2 forms work fine. After I upgraded
Office to SP3, they still work fine. I added one test record into backend
table, they still have the correct formatting: Green for not null cutid
lines

I suspect this issue might be machine or user specific, you may want to log
on as different users or test it on different client machines to see if it
can occur consistently.

Anyway, it's good to hear you have found a workaround on this issue. If you
