creating a forms

I have created a form but as I go through it I am unable to change a memo box
to a number box i.e. say like a phone number a pop up window comes up and
says it is entered in to be a text box, or something like that? please help

Usually posting the EXACT message will help. But there is no such thing
as a memo box. Its either a text box or a different type of control. Are
you trying to change the datatype of the underlying field?
