option group problem

Morning All,

Could you help me (again)?  I have created a form which lists abridged
details of all my dbase records in a continuous form. I have a control button
which, when clicked, opens a page showing the full details of the particular
record.  However, to make an improvement I now intend to be able to replace
this control  button with an option group button so that I can a) view the
full record by selecting an option  b) select any number of pertinent records
to be viewed in a print preview.
I am having a problem just getting off first base.  When I insert the
Options group buttons, I select the option I want to work with, either a dot
or a tick, but when I look at the form in view mode, the option is not
selectable, but has a gray square in it.  What am I doing wrong?
Secondly, My VB is VERY limited and I am not given an option by the wizard
to build a function therefore how do I edit the records with selected boxes
to be sent to print preview  and/or open page (for full record)?
Any responses will be appreciated.

cheers

Hi  freelancer,
The dot or tick will be greyed out when there is no default value selected
for the options group. On the properties sheet for the form, on the Data
tab, you can set the default value to True or False for the Options group.
