Need Help Please with Combo or List boxes

I have researched for this type of question in this forum and can't find
something similar. I am not sure if this can be done since most questions
are based on different tables. I feel this is maybe very simple but I am
stuck and can't get this to work. I have a form with only one table (very
simple) that I have two list boxes . When the user chooses an item, I want
the second list box to show a description of the item. It is only for the
user to see. However, I have tried to use some of the examples given in the
forum and can't seem to get my form to work. So far I have list box 1 and
list box two to list the items. But when I chose an itme in Box 1 the
correct description does not appear in box 2. I have on the After Update
event for List box 1 the following Me.Listbox1.Requery. I have tried
changing to Lisbox2 but that doesn't work. Any help will be greatly
appreciated. Thank you.

Why you are using two list's boxes? Instead of the second list box (for the
description) create a text box that will display the description every time
you select an item from the first list box.

In the first list box RowSource include also the description.
Select Code,Description From TableName

In the text box ControlSource refer to the second column (the decription)
=[ListBoxName].Column(1)

The column number start with 0, this is why the second column will be 1
