I cannot figure out how to resize & move controls?. I was told to use the
"Properties dialog"....which I presume is the "Properties sheet"?....but no
matter what I do with it, anything I change, changes all the controls the
same? What am I missing?...Anothe said that the controls are blocked as a
group, by default and what I should do is click on them once (Did that mean
click on a control?...in Design form?)...and then go to arrange ribbon and
click on it and look for a delete bitton and then I can move controls
separately. I can't find any delete button?....Please help my ignorance

thank you

Ok, let me try to explain. You use 2007 right?
Put the form in designview:
1. Home tab - first button - arrow - design view
2. Click on one of the controls (just pick one). The control should now have
an orange border around it.
3. Look at the top left corner of the first label of all your controls. You
should see a little box with a cross in it. Click once on the cross.
4. All your controls should have a orange border around them
5. Click on the "Arrange" -tab in the ribbon
6. The second group in this tab [control layout] shows a couple of buttons.
The first three state "Tabular", "Stacked", "Remove".
7. Click on the "Remove" button. Your controls show little black squares
tied to them indicating they are now individually moveable.
8. Click anywhere in the form to remove the selection
9. Move your control to the place you want to have it. Resizing is also
possible.

If this doesn't resolve your problem there has to be something else. In your
previous posting you are stating you can resize the controls.

In Layout view you can also resize yu controls but you don't see the little
squares to indicate where you can rseize them with. But believe me you can
just 'grab' the border and resize it.

Thanks Maurice,

Explained wonderfully so that even I could understand it.
I wonder why the program can't have explanations and directions as simple as
that to follow!

Thanks again,

Dave
