No, your table will only be updated when the form is open in Form view.

tables are not updated in design view.  Why would you want to enter values
in design view?

Hi Damon,

I thought thats where you  are suppose to input values, actually i have a
number field and will be inputing numbers in that field if i have control
source abc.tbl connected to that perticular field in form then can it update .

customer No .......................
Customer Name ..................
City                   .................
Service type        ................
this are all combo box  in my form linked to table customer if i in put
values in this combo box i thought this will update my table too.

I have another field in my same form i.e

Telephone lines  (number) linked from another table .

I guess i am all confused now.
