command button error

When i drag a command button onto a form the wizard does not start i.e. run
qry open table etc any ideas

The 2nd button in the toolbox is a toggle that determines whether the
wizards should start or not. Depress it.

Toggle the wizard on from the Toolbox toolbar--View, Toolbar, then click on
the icon with the wand and stars.

Did you have the Wizard button (the button with the magic wand next to the
arrow button in the ToolBox toolbar) activated (the button appears pressed)?
