Access Report Unbound Control Display Problem

Been spinning my wheels for about a day on this one.  Hope someone out
there has an idea.  I have an unbound object frame in the detail section of
an Access report. Through this control I am linking an Excel worksheet. I
use VBA in the report_page event to put data into cell(1,1) on the first
sheet. Per each detail section the speadsheet is updated, which is
reflected in my Access multipage report.  The problem is that only the
first ten rows of the spreadsheet display in the control on the Access
report; the rest of the control remains blank.  I have found this problem
in both Access 2000 and 2003. I have used various Excel methoda in VBA to
attempt printing and refreshing but nothin works! It just seems to run out
of gas as it attempts to display the sheet. Any ideas?
