I have an access 2003 database report that I export to Word 2003 using Office links. The data looks fine in the Access report--fields/data is displaying properly. But once it is published in Word the data in truncated. It is machine specific, doesn't seem to be profile or printer related. Any ideas why the data is truncated in Word? hi, ok there are atleast 2 possible issues i can see here. First of all, we need to know the datatype of the information in your report. Aside from that, formating doesnt necessarily carry over. you need to set up a merge document in word which is formatted how you want it. then you can have access open up the .dot and it should work. remember: word has a feature automatically enabled in mail merges that suppresses blank lines. access does not have this feature automatically enabled, however you could manually enable it by going into the report design view - properties and then make "can shrink" into yes. hope that helps! Hi Jennifer, Access's system for exporting reports to RTF (which is how it gets them to Word) is notoriously feeble, but it's unusual for it to work differently with the same database on identical machines. Are you certain that the machines have identical printer drivers, fonts, service packs, etc? I increased the screen resolution on the machine that was truncated the data and that fixed the problem. Who would've thought!!!!!
