Cannot Open Data Source

Hi,

I'm attempting to do a rather simple system to link an
Access database to a word document as a mail merge but
I'm having a few problems. Basically I can only get so
far in linking the two and then it fails. It lets me
select which table, etc I want to take the data from but
when I click OK it throws up a "Word Was Unable To Open
Data Source" message.

What could be causing this and how can I fix it? Could it
be something to do with the database having a workgroup
file and password protection?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Dunner

Hi Dunner,

See http://support.microsoft.com/?id=208933 . This article seems not to
have been revised since Office 2000, and if you're using Office XP or
later you may need to modify it to apply to the modified mailmerge
system.
